Steve Baileys' Biography.
Steve Bailey joined BBC Radio Leeds having spent a total of 12 years in commercial radio, working in areas like Stoke On Trent and Manchester before settling here in West Yorkshire, where he’s been for the past 6 years.

Tempted away from the 'lofty heights' of the teaching profession, Steve began his broadcasting career at Signal Cheshire (now Imagine FM) in 1995, fronting The Late Show, and subsequently Mid-Mornings and Drivetime on station’s including Signal 1 and The Pulse of West Yorkshire.

Although his passion for music has been a big part of his life since he was a young lad, Steve still has a deep interest in teaching, and hasn't ruled out a return, in some form, to education. 'I can't see it being for a while, but hey you should never say never!'.

‘West Yorkshire is one of the best parts of the country, the people are great, the landscape is fantastic and to join BBC Radio Leeds at such an exciting time is a once in a lifetime opportunity and one that I just couldn’t pass by’
.

Outside of radio, Steve has spent a number of years as a Scout Instructor, enjoys close association with the Bradford Bulls Rugby Super League Club, and enjoys outdoor activities such as rock climbing, and hiking; just as much as socialising, eating out and going to the cinema.
